Hello everyone again. Since this is our last assignment, this would be the last post in my blog – and it makes me very happy. And yeah, you are right – it’s not connected with art. Because if you create art blog – you must write there random staff, aren’t you? Why write about art in art blog? Pfff.
So, about which random stuff I have to write now? Oh yeah, International Olympiad “Informatrix-Asia” in our university. Which is not International and not Asia. Because in fact, there have been people only from Middle-Asia – but the organizers promised 28(!) countries – and the whole Olympiad is loudly called “Asia” – while in fact they have only 5-6 countries from Asia.
Why I’m so toxic (or sincere – depends on viewpoint)? Well, this is my blog – and my thoughts – no one can say anything for me being toxic here And I’m just dissapointed that all teachers connected with writing decided to give us assignments related with this Olympiad. Are we went out of interesting topics for writing?
The situation actually is more interesting and funny. In this blogpost, I have to talk about one of the projects presented on the exhibition. Well… something went wrong. Because on Friday, when I was going to interview some of this young people, the exhibition started to… close. Most of the stands went empty just in a few hours – when we were sitting on the lessons. And, luckily, all interesting stands became empty leaving only some weird stuff.

So, now I will with smart and serious face present you most boring projects that were left.
First one actually is not so boring. It’s robot competitions. Nothing unusual though – when I was young I collected the magazine series “Robospy” – and I can’t say that this robots went so far from this Robospy. But it was interesting to watch – and see all my groupmates running around – since it was the only one interesting project left.

Actually, it even was not from Infomatrix itself. At least this guys around said this. They said that they are part of another project – not connected with Infomatrix. I guess that they were invited just to make show more interesting.
“This is the last blogpost, it must be long” – but what else I can tell to you, my dear and very big audience? Tell about decane of engineering being so proud that he just sent us away? Even the rector stopped to talk about Infomatrix – while decane said: “Go talk with my deputies”.
Well, there was also an interesting thing – and a little bit personal. There was a project on this exhibition (one of few that were left) – about automatization of the swimming pool coach. The project itself is useful and good in tech side, but not so interesting for audience. But my attention catched not the project. My attention catched the fact that it was made by people from usual Almaty gymnasium. That was something to be proud of.

I actually always believed that usual gymnasiums can easily beat all this NISes and KTLs. 100% in humanities (such schools abandon them – especially NIS) but also in techs too. My classmates proved that many times. In my class alone we had few people who were brilliant in physics, Olympian in chemistry, and an already published writer.
Well, I’ve written a pretty big longread. Now I can be calm – this was the last assignment. Thanks to everyone who read this blog – and sorry that art posts were mixed with some random stuff. GG
