As you all know, this blog is about art – and it was created for the subject “New media”. And what can be more related to art and new media than a story about the random thing? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe articles about art? No-no-no! I’m pretty sure, that I don’t have to write the articles that fit the topic of my blog. My readers will surely enjoy an article about the random thing…what is it? Oh, yeah – it’s wrist! So interesting, isn’t it?
Okay then. Now you can enjoy the story about the wrist! The pure artistic work – and the best journalistic work! I would have started telling the story – but I need to have three hundred words – so I’m just pouring water right now, don’t worry.
But, let’s go to the story. My groupmate has a tattoo on her wrist. I asked her about the background of this tattoo. And yeah, the story will be told in the first person.
“I wanted the tattoo from the age of ten. And I wanted to put the deep meaning in it. It’s very important for me – even when I draw something. This autumn my mom had a birthday – and I wanted to make an “unusual” gift. But I was afraid – and didn’t make this tattoo for her birthday. I thought for a very long time – a whole month – and finally made it in October. The tattoo was with her name written by her hand! How I made it? Pretty simple. Just asked her to write her name on paper – and silenced when she asked why. She was asking and asking – but wasn’t able to get this from me. After I made the tattoo, I kept it hidden for three months! Just wore the clothes with long sleeves. And finally, I had the courage to show it in December. In the beginning, mom just said that I’m the silly one and laughed. But then she was deeply moved by this. “
